Have I ever mentioned how much I love the blazing fast speeds provided by Comcast?

+Adam Outler yes maybe you should be quiet. Everyone else here is seeing the opposite of you. You use your own equipment that is not fully certified. The reason people hate Comcast is that people hate having to pay there bill, and most of the issues people see are from their own equipment. Yes I am sure plenty of issues exist and caused unhappy people, but with any provider would have the same issues. When you're the biggest provider, you are bound to have a higher % of people complain since they have a higher customer base. You complained about Att at your last house... So do you really think all these issues are coincidence? Only commonality is you and how YOU like to set things up and the equipment YOU use. Stop adding to the hate, when nobody else is seeing the issue. Test your neighbors internet with your modem (as long as you are on same node and the line has active service coming in) it will work. If issue still present, it's not a line issue, it's you/inside wiring. You're a smart guy, try ruling everything out first before posting crap!Jan 2, 2017
+Durthquake - AT&T is my mobile company. They are good here. My HOA just got swindled into 7 years of service with Comcast. I'm paying for TV that I don't watch via my HOA. We have a neighborhood website where everyone is complaining about the quality of service, dropping streams, errors, and I'm not going to be quiet about it.
When I had a problem with AT&T, I was literally able to perform a DoS attack and bring the network down with a iPhone 3GS. Once they patched that, they upgraded to 3G, when they should have been upgrading to LTE instead. I didn't have a problem with LTE after they fixed the network.
+Durthquake -, get some tools that allow you to measure the bit error rate and then you can start talking. I'm seeing hundreds of thousands of correctable/umcorrectable packets per day at http://192.168.100.1 . I'm registering hundreds of corrupted packets via heuristics at my firewall. My download hashes don't match when I attempt to hash the latest Ubuntu.
So yeah, sure, it's just me complaining. Most people can refresh the Facebook page or restart YouTube and there is no problem they are aware of because they aren't doing anything critical. But there is still a problem. It's called bit error rate. It isn't measurable by speed test or ping test. It's a much more complex process to detect. Here, it is bad and it is causing streaming issues and my neighborhood is complaining in a vacuum.Jan 2, 2017
192.168.100.1 is not a Comcast gateway IP. They use 10.0.0.1 for residential modem/router combo and 10.1.10.1 for business gateways. So the uncorrected loss you have is from your device. Since you are in an HOA they are known for having horrible wiring and not letting providers access to them.Jan 2, 2017
+Durthquake - http://192.168.100.1 is the common internal website for most cable modems.Jan 2, 2017

Don't get me wrong. when it works, I'm getting 160mbps with a lot of packet corruption. I take screenshots of absolute rediculousness.Jan 2, 2017
