Uptown Funk "Oldtown Cover"
HA! A bunch of seniors completely recreated the video for Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk ft. Bruno Mars... complete with an electric scooter!
The YouTube doobley-doo contains this awesome gem:
"All the grandmas and Grandpas in this video did their own stunts :)
They range in age from 65-92! Between them, they have raised 500 children, 1,200 grandchildren, and 250 great grandchildren!!!"

I'm just going to take this opportunity to thank +Panera Bread for allowing me the convenience of being able to pay via NFC. I am an Android user, so I was delighted to pay for today's lunch with Google Wallet. I didn't notice until my way out, that there was a sign posted on the door that stated they are now accepting Apple Pay.

A good article to get yourself up to speed! I think we should all care about this...

+Russell Holly and +Chris Sewell laid out the facts about CurrentC here. Its a great read. I hadn't been paying attention to it. It takes a lot of personal information man! What business does a payment app have with my Health Data?
If you’re at all interested in mobile technology, there’s a good chance you’ve seen an article recently about CurrentC. …

Prototype Navy drones swarm like locusts
The Office of Naval Research (ONR) has created its new LOCUST (Low-Cost UAV Swarming Technology) program. It utilizes a rocket tube launcher filled with lightweight, self-guided Coyote UAVs that team up and overwhelm enemy aircraft like honey bees defending their hive.

The LOCUST program successfully completed a series of initial test launches last month. Up next: a "2016 ship-based demonstration of 30 rapidly launched autonomous, swarming UAVs," ONR program manager Lee Mastroianni said in a statement. And over the next decade or so, the ONR hopes to deeply integrate these highly-autonomous UAV systems like this into numerous naval platforms -- from small ships and tactical vehicles to aircraft and even other, bigger drones.

FCC Votes For Strong Net Neutrality Rules - The Federal Communications Commission just voted 3-2 to reclassify fixed and mobile broadband providers under Title II, banning paid fast lanes, and strengthening Net Neutrality rules. Check out the analysis from Ars Technica to see what this means for the future of ISPs and the open internet. Introduction
I'm a huge geek. I teach myself everything I can about technology, basically as it becomes available. I was the guy with the 300 baud modem, if you don't know that is, don't worry, not many people do any more. When my parents bought me my second computer, I tore the first one apart to see if I could put it back together, and I've been doing that ever since.

I like being the guy people come to when they can't figure something out, even more so if I don't already know how to do it myself. I must have techADD because I just can't settle on one thing, I'm always jumping around finding things that interest me; I think it keeps me from being bored.
