Born and raised in Dallas...I will not live in Dallas, Colin, or Denton county unless forced, and even then, I'll be seriously fucking retaliatory.
, if your son is old enough, hell, even if he's not, you owe yourself a tour of the Western Currency Facility...where money is printed, up over at 35W and the 287 split.
It's really pretty cool. Plus, on the tour, you don't smell the ink...
Lemme know if you're coming...
Still seems odd, though, and makes it much more difficult to entice people to cross-shop with Audi (or upgrade) since it seems like all similarity is gone these days. But maybe VAG had people getting VWs instead of Audis because they were so close and this is a way to purposefully widen the gap and serve a large low-end market more than the mid-range.
What do you think? Do HOV lanes even serve a real purpose in any city? Is anyone doing them right?
I agree with ; I've long thought that we need to treat driving more like at least parts of Europe do, where there's real education and training that need to happen (and a substantial cost to go through it), and driving is treated more like a privilege than a right. Here, you'd think that driving was in the Bill of Rights or something with how little regard anyone (whether private individual or government) seems to have for it. :\ Want to break tons of laws? Sure. Endanger the lives of hundreds of other people wherever you go? No problem. You finally do something bad enough to get your license temporarily suspended? Just keep driving, nobody really cares.
What's crazy is everything would go so smoothly if everyone on the roads just employed common sense and some small amount of common courtesy. But certainly in this country that's asking way too much....
