Put your walking shoes on and start hungry.
People often ask me to help with their pizza itineraries. For a fun Saturday, I have been recommending this route through Williamsburg and Greenpoint lately. Enjoy!

I'm previewing the new Google Maps. It's beautiful, but there's no way to embed a map AND there are no short links options. The Googler in this post says s/he's passing this info on to the Maps team, and I do hope they add that functionality back. The new maps look great, and I understand that most people probably don't use embeds or shortlinks, but they're part of what made Gmaps so useful.

Sharing a link to Google Maps is simple. If you'd like to share a map or a set of search results, click the link button at the top of the left panel and copy the URL, or click “Send” for more options. Learn more: http://goo.gl/141nv

If you’re previewing the new Google Maps, simply copy the URL from your browser! These links will work for those not yet previewing the new Google Maps as well.

This is the pepperoni cuppage I shoot for when I'm making Margot's Pizza pepperoni pies.
The only reason you should ever leave Prince Street Pizza without ordering the Spicy Spring slice is if you're veg(etari)an.

A couple of my coworkers made it. I think they're sitting on a stockpile of great NYC footage that could be giffed out.

Most of these tips are pretty spot-on, particularly the one about the dreaded empty subway car.

Great bagels and FANTASTIC service. The line moves fast, and there's no confusion. Their game is tight. Add to that the overall pleasant atmosphere — it's bright, airy, and roomy. Pro tip: find convenient electric outlets under the banquette seats!

Great sandwiches and a surprisingly great slice of pizza. If you ever see Rosario making a square pie, get a slice or two IMMEDIATELY. It's rare, and it's fantastic.

Fantastic pizza with a unique crust. Crisp yet chewy, stays crisp for a good long time. That's to say nothing of the inventive and delicious toppings. Overall a lovely experience at this place.

Solid ramen joint that has only gotten better over time. I prefer the pork-and-chicken broth ramen (shio and Nagoya variations especially). Explore some appetizers. The "crispy asparagus" and tempura Chinese broccoli are especially good — can't-miss good, even. If you're still hungry and have some broth left, order some more noodles.

Sort of a tasting menu-slash-family-style thing going on here. You choose from different set menus of small plates. Not everything is a winner, but there are far more hits than misses. Good vegetarian menu, too.
