ShapeShifter v0.2.0 is now live!

This is a HUGE update with a TON of new features. The most significant improvement is that it is now possible to morph paths with different amounts of subpaths. For example, the GIF below illustrates a path morphing animation that morphs an overflow icon with 3 subpaths into a back arrow with 1 subpath. These types of animations can be easily created using a new "split subpath" mode, which enables you to cut your SVGs paths into disjoint pieces without altering their initial appearance. Check out the YouTube video below for a short example.

Other improvements include the ability to add split points directly to the canvas using the mouse, the ability to morph SVGs with differently sized viewports, a simpler UI for adding rotation to the final animation, and much, much more (see the changelog below).

A ton of work went into this release, so I'm excited to see what you all think. That said, there are still a bunch more improvements that I still want to make to the app, so stay tuned for v0.3.0! :)

p.s. Spread the word if you can! I want to get as much feedback on the tool as possible. :)

Introducing ShapeShifter v0.1

For the past couple of months I've been working on a web app that simplifies the process of creating SVG-based path morphing animations.

Try it out and let me know if you have any trouble. If you don't have your own SVGs to use, click on that three-dotted icon in the top right corner and play around with one of the demos. :)

I'm especially interested in how I can make this tool more useful for UXers (who are usually the ones creating SVGs in the first place)... so please send me feedback! I'm also interested in supporting other export formats other than AnimatedVectorDrawable... send me feature requests!
