The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai

What a beautiful and amazing place this is!  They started building this artificial island in 2001 - and when it is all done, it will add an additional 520 kilometres (320 mi) of beachfront to the coastline.  We're starting the photowalk over there on the right in the marina! See you soon - more info at  520 kilometres (320 mi). More info at http://www.stuckincustoms.com/events/ - thanks again to Dubai Films.

+Jim Graham, this is the dog I was talking about. It's a border collie, and it actually reasons through process of elimination.

I unexpectedly found myself wide awake at 5 a.m., so I decided it was a good opportunity to walk up the hill near my mom's house near Valley Springs, CA and catch the sunrise.

I was questioned by the early-rising neighbors, of course, but it was a pretty cool morning. I wonder why people are so suspicious of cameras.

These are the shots from my first and only (so far) into aerial photography.

I wasn't very happy with how the images turned out for quite some time after taking them, but the experience was great. I wished there had been less haze, and I felt like I could have gotten a lot better shots with more appropriate gear.

Now that I've let them sit for a while and come back to them, though, I've kind of learned to like the haze and appreciate the photos as they are. I learned a lot from the whole thing.

This is a good example of why you can't trust what politicians say (especially in California). Just look at their ridiculous statements about e-cig vapor.
Levels are about the same as those found in air.

I really wish Google+ had a night/day theme switch option. Just a little button that switches the color scheme of the whole site between this white and light grey theme and a darker theme.

It would be good for a lot of reasons, not least of which would be that I wouldn't be blinded when switching here from one of the many other darker sites that I visit.

I played Ultima Online for many, many years. I've played a good deal of console games and a ton of World of Warcraft, but have now resigned myself to the occasional single player RPG or console action game.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I can't afford anything I want in here, but I can't help but stop in and check out what they have on display when I first come into the park. They feature all kinds of great artists' Disney-inspired works, and I could just stand in the gallery in awe for hours. There's so much else to do and see in the parks, though, that I eventually realize I need to move on.

I like to eat here when I come to the parks. Not because I like the food, though. The food is pretty mediocre. I've actually also had poor service here on numerous occasions too, which is really out of the norm for Disneyland. What I really come back here for is the location. I absolutely love sitting on the wooden deck and looking over the water while I enjoy my lunch. It's also a great place for dessert. Be sure to try a funnel cake here.

Corn dogs don't get much better than this. Considering the portion size, the price isn't too bad for being inside the park. The meat tastes great, but it's really the cornbread that shines here. Perfectly moist and fluffy on the inside and deliciously crunchy-fried on the outside. I don't even like mustard, but if you handed one of these to me covered in mustard, I just might eat it. You also get a choice between a bag of chips or a bag of sliced apples on the side. We all know what we should choose...

Whether this was inside a theme park or not, it would be a great restaurant. The fact that you can spend the day in California Adventure and then come here to wind down and have dinner is just amazing. The atmosphere is like a very classy Italian-Californian restaurant (which I'd say this is), and they have the service to match. Disney intended this restaurant to give visitors the feeling that they're in the Napa Valley of California, where much of my family lives, and I really think they succeeded, given their wine selection and laid-back ambiance. The restaurant is perfectly set apart from the rest of the park, and it's very easy to forget where you really are when you're enjoying yourself here. The menu changes somewhat regularly, but it's always full of good dishes. I strongly recommend getting there early and getting the World of Color dinner package. You get reservations for a multi-course meal along with a special FastPass ticket for the World of Color show that gives you access to a reserved viewing area just for people who bought the package. I also suggest the Italian Wedding Soup. I love that stuff.

I've been an annual passholder for a few years. It's really expensive, but completely worth it. This is the happiest place on earth, after all (and the pass pays for itself after only a few visits). I've moved away and don't currently have an annual pass, but I miss coming here constantly. I'll probably be moving back to the area, and the opportunity to come back here is a big factor in the decision. When this place is seriously influencing my life decisions, you know it's had a big impact on me. You're never too old to enjoy Disneyland, and if anyone tells you otherwise, tell them you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

If you're a regular at the parks or you're on a tighter budget because of the unbelievable ticket cost, this is a great place to eat. It probably provides the best value for your money of anywhere in the parks. It's surely no Michelin star restaurant, but if you and your kids are hungry, you can come here, get a big slice of pizza, a salad, pasta, or a bunch of other stuff (the selection here is great), you can fill up without worrying how you're going to afford fuel to get home. The buffet style makes it easy to grab what you want and get to your table quickly, and the whole place is remarkably big so you don't feel cramped in line or when you sit down to eat.

This place is okay. It's surely not the best place to eat in the parks, but if you're *really* hungry--like, too hungry to make it over to Corn Dog Castle--then I suggest you get the chili dog here. It's not that the dogs are prepared carelessly or anything like that. It's just that the dogs themselves aren't anything to write home about. The flavors in the Italian sausage one, for example, aren't quite right. The sauce tastes kind of like an off-brand canned tomato sauce you'd find in a grocery store. The buns aren't anything special either, and the casing on all of the dogs is just kind of mushy. I prefer a nice snap to a sausage or hot dog, like you would find with a natural casing. I'm sure kids will love it either way, though, and the name is pretty witty.
