Why does the California Board of Registered Nursing take DUI's so seriously?

“driving under the influence reflects a lack of sound professional and personal judgment, threatens the safety of the public, and demonstrates both a disregard of the medical knowledge of the effects of alcohol and the legal prohibitions against drinking and driving.” (Sulla v. Board of Registered Nursing, citing Griffiths v. Superior Court)"

Some old tax debts can be eliminated in chapter 7 bankruptcy or paid with other unsecured debts in chapter 13 bankruptcy. Some recent tax debts will not be eliminated in chapter 7 bankruptcy but can be paid with little to no interest over several years in chapter 13 bankruptcy.

If you're thinking about filing bankruptcy chances are that creditors are ringing your phone off the hook. Accordingly, you're probably screening calls. With that in mind, it's important to utilize email or text when communicating with your bankruptcy attorney.

Many people believe they will lose their car in #chapter7bankruptcy. After all, chapter 7 bankruptcy is the “liquidation” bankruptcy; non-exempt assets are sold for the benefit of creditors. Also, while unsecured debts can be discharged in chapter 7 bankruptcy, secured debts ride-through the bankruptcy. With that in mind, our bankruptcy attorney on rosevillebankruptcy.com is often asked whether a car will be sold in chapter 7 bankruptcy. The answer depends on several factors.

The California Board of Registered Nursing issues an Accusation or Statement of Issues for violations of the California Code of Regulations and Business and Professions Code. Many of these alleged violations fall into 3 groups: (1) chemical dependency or substance abuse; (2) criminal convictions; and (3) patient care.

Whereas in chapter 7 bankruptcy non-exempt property is sold to repay creditors in exchange for a discharge, chapter 13 bankruptcy entails a different trade off. In exchange for being able to keep your property (including nonexempt property) you will commit your disposable income to a 3 to 5 year repayment plan. Upon completion of the repayment plan your dischargeable debts can be eliminated.

California probate attorneys charge a "statutory fee" established in Probate Code Section 10810 which is represented as a percentage of the gross value of the estate. The fee is:
4% of the first one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), plus
3% of the next one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), plus
2% of the next eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000), plus
1% of the next nine million dollars ($9,000,000), plus
.5% of the next fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000)

Many people do not fully understand the cost of filing bankruptcy. In order to successfully file chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy you will need to pay for several expenses. Some of these expenses are mandatory while others are optional.
