What an excellent, excellent review of Final Cut Pro X. My experience is similar; self-taught photographer who hated the complexity of Bins and Sequences and the UI in Final Cut Pro 7 and earlier.

I'm not a professional video editor. And Final Cut Pro X is exactly what I needed to produce professional work. I'd rather invest years into telling better stories than to spend years learning how to use this specific tool.

Thank you, Apple!

Absolutely can't wait for Olafur Arnalds' next album. I first heard of him in the PressPausePlay movie. Check out http://olafurarnalds.com/ for all of his discs -- some of the best writing music I've found.

Not only a theological defense of bicycles -- but a theological attack polemic on sport bicyclists! :)

Well said, Anne!

"If God wanted me to sleep in everyday and forego the beauty of the morning, then God wouldn't have made Jeff snore."
The alarm went off this morning and I slapped at it until I finally found the snooze button. I rolled over to see the sun still sleeping, so I too, drifted off again. I did this 2 more times until finally I realized that if I wasn't going to get up now I would just be mad at myself, plus Jeff was snoring, so might as well... Several yawns and stretch or two later, I found myself tying double knots in my Mizuno running shoes and opening the door t...

We were amazed by the traditional, yet creative dishes. The bread was phenomenal. And the dessert! The Gorgonzola/pumpkin cake was unforgettable! The staff was very attentive and understanding (in spite of our poor Italian language skills).

We typically do a few rolls and different combinations of sushi. The chefs are artists -- presenting their creations so well that we stop to savor the look of each one before picking up our chop sticks.
