It was funny... for about 30 seconds.  But whatever, I mean free entertainment and all.  Not like you're gonna lose me as a viewer cuz one video you made didn't hit my funny bone.

So... what noises does it actually make?  If it just says, "and we're the game grumps" that's not worth $15.

All these videos do nothing but convince me Sierra games (and their ilk) are just not for me.  They have mediocre stories at best and I hardly consider any of what's happening here to be "gameplay".

I think gamers today are spoiled with how easy games are. In my day.... I feel you, you had to guess a lot. But to be honest, I'd rather guess than have some item sparkling at me to get my attention.
Gabriel knight?

Police Quest, that game forced you to think on your feet, and to play by the police code. I'm sure you have something bad to say about anything Sierra related. But again, I'm not trying to convince you. I had my fun, and I loved them, and the insane challenge they brought. They don't stand the test of time simply because gamers today have got it too easy. That's my opinion.

You might want to make it a little clearer that it's the people that spew the bullshit that are the douchebags and not the people that enjoy things.  Plenty of people enjoy things without spewing bullshit.

While a pension is a nice idea, I think you're seriously underestimating a human quality called "greed".  And if a politician can't work as a consultant making millions of dollars, what's to keep the politician's children and siblings from doing so and giving their politician relative all kinds of nice gifts?  I know you said if a patch doesn't work you just patch the patch, but I really believe people will find exploits far faster than the system can be patched.

I believe the best system would be to increase visibility and accountability on what these politicians are doing.  Show everybody just how much politician's make at jobs after they leave office and how their time in office benefited the industries they now work for.  If their friends and family benefit instead of them, make that publicly clear.

The latest Pokémon games have introduced a mechanic that (people think) makes it clear if a Pokémon was obtained legitimately or through cheating (some kind of icon on the Pokémon's status page).  It should be very easy for tournaments to exclude people with unauthentic  Pokémons or at least for people to refuse to battle them.  Cheating the system is already unpopular.  Prove that somebody is cheating and public opinion will do your job for you.

As far as spending money on campaigning, I feel like the internet will more and more be a great equalizer here.  It doesn't cost you a cent to upload a youtube video or run a facebook page.  You might want to pay people to do it well for you but that is a fraction of what it costs to buy airtime on a network channel.  Yes, this is still an issue today, but I honestly feel like it is a diminishing one.

And not to harp too much on this, but even if you could theoretically limit how much money a politician can spend on their campaigning, are you also going to limit what major corporations can do?  Would it be illegal for McDonald's to say they support Obama?  They don't necessarily have to charge even a penny to do that.  All McDonald's commercials could include messages about how Obama is great or have Obama in them giving Big Macs away or something.  Is that a McDonald's ad or an Obama campaign?  Who decides?  Can McDonald's "Like" Obama on Facebook?  Endorsement doesn't have to cost money, but it's clear that the amount of money someone has is strongly correlated to the strength of their endorsements.  Even if you can only spend $100 on campaigning, you can get your popular friends to say they like you for free.
