Turn off What's Hot and Recommended in your stream

If you aren't interested in the "What's Hot" and "Recommend" posts appearing in your Home stream, you can turn them off in four easy steps.

1. At the top of your stream click "Explore"

2. On the "Explore" page (plus.google.com/explore ), click "What's hot" in the blue box

3. On the "What's hot and recommended" page (plus.google.com/explore/_ ), click the gear icon

4. De-select the option to show the posts in your Home stream.

You can always Explore if you want to see those posts again.

Also, keep in mind that your circles and the posts you interact with influence which "recommended" posts you see.  You may want to remove people from your circles if they regularly post content you are not interested in and you don't want to share content or Hangout with them.

Played a side gig and now have an extra $200.

Now I'm torn between buying parts, putting it away toward a new gun, or using the cash to SBR my 300 Blackout pistol.

Decisions, decisions.....

SBR a lower, it opens a whole new door, for build projects. It also opens a whole new door for looking to spend another couple of 200 dollars in parts, accessories and tacticool cases to store it in lol

Good idea.
A firearm suppressor company has begun a movement for gun owners to "Fight the Noise." That is, advocate for the right to protect their hearing with firearm silencers without them being subject to extra taxes and paperwork. "The Suppressed are changing the perception of an industry and leading...

Looks like I'll be trying these out in my pt709!

I currently have it loaded with critical duty and definitely don't want over penetration.

Thanks for this series of tests.

I've noticed that a lot of people complain about the pt709 shooting low-left right out of the box.

I put a few magazines down range today and started to experience the same thing.

First two shots were right in the V. The third and subsequent shots started to drift low left.

Puzzled, I loaded a new mag and shifted my point of aim. First shot dead center. Second was low left.

I discovered, due to the way the trigger breaks (all the way at the end of a long, long, long pull), it was affecting my grip and pulling my shots. No matter how slow I squeezed.

Once I worked that out I was able to pull my shots back to the center. This little pistol is just going to take a slightly different trigger technique than what I'm used to.

Yup. Typical anticipation and/or jerking the trigger. Except it is more to do with the size of the gun and how far back my finger has to come before the trigger breaks. Have to get used to it.

I settled on the 709.
Feels really good in hand. Now it's time to go feed it the cheapest ammunition I can find to check reliability!

Each person on that stage needs to be beaten with a rubber hose.

All right, I'm in a quandary.

I will soon be buying a new carry gun. I currently carry an XD45 but I need something smaller for times when the 45 is too difficult to conceal.

I've narrowed it down to the pt709 or the 740. I can pick either up for about $287.00 plus tax.

I like the feel of them both. I know the 740 comes at the cost of losing a bit of capacity and is a bit more of a handful in terms of recoil (my 45 never gives me ANY trouble and neither did my Judge), the 709 is also hard to find mags for. However, it would be nice to have the 709 for my wife to use on occasion.

Anyone have any thoughts. Any personal reviews for either of these?

I agree. I only own one pistol, a pt92, and I own 4 mags for it. I would be willing to bet the 709 mags are available on line
