Join us on Wednesday August 5th at 7:00 PM for a nice evening paddle!  We’re excited to have Energy Water Sports out of Lake Lanier come out to Lake Acworth! Energy Water Sports will have boards to rent and will lead a fitness paddle to help with your training for the 2015 Toona Challenge and other upcoming SUP events.  Beginners and non-racers can get tips and advice from the Energy Water Sports team.

PADDLE BOARD RENTALS: Energy Water Sports will have 10 boards available @ $20 per person. Please bring cash to pay Energy Water Sports directly at the meetup. To reserve a board, please RSVP on the ATL SUP meetup page and let us know in the comments!

FITNESS PADDLE: Participation in the fitness paddle is included if you rent a board and $10 if you bring your own board. Bring cash to pay Energy Water Sports directly at the meetup.

We will meet at Pavilion 4 in Cauble Park near the boat ramp.

The City of Acworth and High Country Outfitters are hosting a series of meetups to help you get ready for upcoming paddle board races. Lake Acworth is a great spot for stillwater paddle boarding, and connects to Lake Allatoona, home of the Toona Challenge. The 2015 Toona Challenge takes place onAugust 9, 2015 in Acworth and is the largest paddle board race in the metro area. There is no charge to participate in the meetup groups.

Join us on Wednesday July 8th at 7:00 PM for a paddle on Lake Acworth. High Country Outfitters will be on hand with a selection of their paddle boards to try out, as well as for racing tips and advice. Our friends at Acworth Beach Rentals will also be joining us.

We will meet at Pavilion 4 in Cauble Park near the boat ramp.

On Saturday, July 4 there will be live music and fireworks at Cauble Park. Live music starts at 4:00 p.m. and fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. The complete schedule of events is listed below:

4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Shreeps
5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Paul Hand Band Experience
7:40 p.m. to 7:55 p.m. Patriotic Celebration
8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Flashback
9:40 p.m. (Approximately) Fireworks
10:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Flashback

Admission to the concert is free!  Parking at Cauble Park is by special pass only on July 4.  Shuttles will be available to bring people down to the park.  There will be designated shuttle stops throughout downtown for this event.  There will be food vendors on-site selling a variety of options beginning at noon.

Sightsee, relax, or explore the stunning waters and plentiful wildlife that Lake Acworth has to offer! Acworth Beach Rentals is now open for Summer 2015! There is no better way to enjoy a day out on the lake than on one of their Pelican kayaks or Wavestorm paddle boards. They are located to the right of Acworth Beach on the banks of Lake Acworth. Whether you're with friends, family, or simply need a relaxing day by yourself at the lake, they strive to provide you with high quality water sport rentals and friendly service!

Acworth Beach at Cauble Park opens on Memorial Day weekend and closes Labor Day weekend. There is no lifeguard on duty at the beach and the swimming area opens at sun up and closes at sun down. Parking is free Monday through Friday. If you are not a City of Acworth Resident then a weekend fee of $10.00 (cash only) will be charged per vehicle during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No pets are allowed on the beach areas.

#VisitAcworth  on Saturday, May 30th for the first Classic Car Cruise of the 2015 season! Classic Car Cruises are held three times during the Spring, Fall and Summer months on from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Main Street in downtown Acworth will be lined with classic cars from days gone by and some of today’s best looking cars. 

There is no charge for the general public to attend the event.

The City of Acworth is proud to partner with B98 and Arrow Exterminators for their "B at the Movies" annual series of FREE outdoor movies! The 45' screen will be set up on the football field at the Acworth Sports Complex on Saturday, May 2! The movie will be Night at the Museum 3 and will begin at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m. Bring the kids, your blanket or beach chair and relax under the stars as we present this fun, family film! This event is open to the public. Arrive early for fun games and prizes!

Concessions will be available until halfway through the film but feel free to bring your picnic baskets and coolers. Alcohol is not permitted at this event.

The Historic Downtown Acworth Farmer's Market will begin this season on Friday, May 8 and continue each Fridaymorning from 7:00 a.m. until noon through Friday, October 30.  The market is located in Historic Downtown Acworth in the Acworth First Baptist Church Parking Lot on the north end of Main Street.

Market customers will have a wide variety of garden ripe Georgia grown vegetables, eggs, cheese, bedding plants, fresh baked bread, pies, cakes, honey and jams to choose from each week. This year's market will be bigger and better than previous years and shoppers won't believe the selection of home grown goodies!

The Acworth Farmer's Market is proudly sponsored by the Acworth Downtown Development Authority.

The fourth annual Acworth Art Fest will take place on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12.  Historic Main Street in downtown Acworth is the perfect backdrop for 100 whimsical and talented artisans from around the country. Their creative booth displays will again decorate beautiful Main Street with paintings, pottery, metalwork, folk art, glass, jewelry, yard art and much more! There will be a variety of art to fit everyone’s taste and budget!

At Acworth Art Fest, a magical Kidz Zone is sure to make children smile, this vibrant play land is the perfect mix of creative art projects and activities.

You will want to come hungry! There will be wonderful food from Acworth’s own eateries, and shoppers will find delectable treats to satisfy their taste buds.  This is an event you don’t want to miss!
