The Professional edition of Active Query Builder adds new controls to the base component for visual SQL query building: SQL Text Editor, Expression Editor with code completion and syntax highlighting, and the tree-like SQL Filter Builder. SQL Formatter is now capable to customize the formatting of CASE and IF clauses.

Over the last few weeks we've realized that we haven't done much to help ordinary users build ordinary queries faster, and we hope that it's not too late to fill this gap.

We've just released the new SQL Text Editor with code completion and syntax highlighting and SQL Filter Builder are available now for Delphi and C++ Builder IDE within the Active Query Builder Professional VCL Subscription. Please let us know what you think about them.

There are three great features of Active Query Builder 3 that available in the beta version right now:

1. Totally new sub-query query navigation bar for easy navigation and management of sub-queries.
2. Separated user interface controls. You can re-arrange them to build a wizard-like user interface or to move out the database schema tree to a side panel.
3. Simplified API to build SQL queries by code.

And, of course, the new WPF Edition!

AQB ASP.NET Edition: The new metadata browsing control displaying database schema in a tree-like form is made instead of the old metadata list with drop-downs and pagination. It is compatible with all supported browsers and is used in all samples by default, but you still can use the old one.
