Thanks for sharing Ross - our Tortuga is a one of kind unique trip.

Galapagos Land and Sea Adventure

The 'Tortuga' is a fantastic way to discover several of the Galapagos Islands, especially for landlubbers. In a relaxed and active manner, you’ll snorkel, dive, hike and cycle, and cruise between the multitude of stunning islands in our comfortable dive boat, the ‘Pacific’ while staying on dry land each night. Starting with a short flight to San Cristobal Island, highlights of this incredible trip include snorkelling with turtles, rays and tame reef sharks, kayaking in a beautiful calm bay and hiking up an island volcano with one of the largest active calderas in the world. You’ll get up close to some of the most intriguing and docile wildlife on the planet, with visits to tortoise breeding grounds and iguana colonies, and even sharing the beach with inquisitive sea lions. We explore amazing lava tunnels, cycle through local townships and learn the mysterious history of Floreana Island.

Highlights:

Meet giant tortoises and iguanas
Swim with turtles and rays at Kicker Rock
Snorkel with reef sharks at Floreana Island
Optional Galapagos diving
Cycle on San Cristobal Island
Hike Sierra Negra volcano and Santa Cruz Island
Explore lava tunnels
Visit pirate caves on Floreana Island
Kayak Isabela Island

I want to take a minute to rave about my experiences with Active Adventures. It's been a few years since I traveled with them. I went to New Zealand on their tours of the South and North islands and the following year I traveled to Patagonia. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the guides are amazing, especially our bilingula guide Cynthia in South America. We went on some unforgettable hikes and adventures. Most of my traveling companions were great people. The food was good and the staff did everything to accommodate our needs. I was happy with the places we stayed - not fancy but just what we needed. As a single traveler, I appreciated that they did not charge a single supplement but found me roommates. I look forward to returning to both New Zealand and South America and hope to travel with Active again. I have recommended them to friends and would encourage anyone wanting to get outdoors in the areas where they travel to sign up now!

I had a Fantastic time on my Active Adventure New Zealand trip! Perfect way to travel as a single women I thought.. Everything was organized and I felt at ease knowing I was taken care of... I feel as though I was able to see all the best sights in New Zealand and LOVED the hiking that we did every day.. Our guides Dave and Amanda were amazing guides and I had a wonderful group of other people to travel with as well.. I would definitely consider booking another trip like this again... Only a few small things I would change.. Definitely more time hiking, less time eating! Although that was fun as well... Aloha from Kauai

My wife and I did our honeymoon with Active New Zealand. It was, simply put, the best experience of our lives. The adventure was unparalleled- the staff was amazing and scenery fantastic. Every component of the trip was meticulous planned and well executed. Active NZ has my highest recommendation.

My wife and I have done two New Zealand tours with Active - One in the North Island and one in the South Island. The guides were terrific and the adventures were fantastic. We had a great time and wouldn't tour with anyone else!

The word "Amazing" does not do justice to the trip and experience we had with Active Adventures. We are a family that has traveled the world and never used a tour company. Active Adventures created a unique experience that you can't achieve on your own. Extremely knowledgeable guides along with a great travel plan allowed us to have a once in a lifetime experience in New Zealand. We look forward to our next Active Adventure trip.

Two trips with Active, summary? Amazing. Friendly staff and perfect attention to detail. They took us to the ends of the earth and managed to make it relaxing!

Everyone fantasizes about their "dream trip", but Active Adventures delivers it. The small group camaraderie, the guides who know their craft and can still cook fabulous meals, the off the beaten path locations, every detail is planned and carried out smoothly. And, of course, there is New Zealand herself.

We've traveled with Active Adventures twice - to Machu Picchu and to Everest Base Camp. They're an outstanding company, and gave us over-the-top service with every step. Highly recommend!
