Training to Preserve Saguaro Park Through Good Practices:

“They’re essentially parks or places that are being loved to death, and so Saguaro is experiencing a lot of visitors and a lot of impacts,” said Courtney Bierschbach, one of the trainers. “We’re here to work with the community to try to take care of some of those impacts.”
Traveling pair from 'Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics' will be at park this weekend.

How To Avoid Losing Your Luggage, In One Simple Chart:

The best tips for preventing lost luggage are pretty easy to remember: Update your luggage tag with your current address and phone number, try shipping your bags instead of bringing them on the plane, put an itinerary inside your suitcase, and make sure to avoid short layovers if you can.
Aside from the hassle of booking a flight and coordinating airport pick-ups, there's only one thing we really dread about flying -- the possibility of losing our luggage. We recently learned where the lost luggage ends up -- a big building in Ala...

11 Great Parks You Need to Visit This Winter:

Winter is the perfect season to explore national and state parks that would be unbearably warm during the summer, and far more populated. Winter sheds an entirely different light on many parks – offering different experiences altogether, and usually much quieter. In 2015, the National Park Service celebrates its 100th year anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than setting foot in a few? A little extra vitamin D doesn’t hurt, either.
As winter fastens its grip across the Northern United States, travelers and adventurers alike begin to break out skis and snowboards, books and wool s...

Sea of clouds fills the Grand Canyon:

There are few scenes I have witnessed that left me without the words to adequately describe them. A 2012 trip from British Columbia down into Skagway, Alaska, was among them.

This is the most breathtaking sight I've seen since then. I'm looking down into the Grand Canyon, and it's completely full of clouds. If I didn't know there was a gigantic, river-carved hole in the crust of the earth right here, I wouldn't believe it.
Brian Passey catches a rare inversion at the Grand Canyon.

US National Parks Set Attendance Record in 2014:

America's national parks offer breathtaking scenery and affordable vacations — two of the reasons why record numbers of people enjoyed the parks in 2014, according to the U.S National Park Service (NPS).
A staggering 292.8 million visitors toured a national park, seashore or historic site in 2014, topping the previous record of 287.2 million visits set in 1987.

I was lucky to get a seat on the Southern Arizona Tour, offered by Across Arizona Tours. I was constantly learning new and interesting facts of Arizona. Leonardo, my guide, led a professional and quite entertaining tour. Leonardo, was very sensitive to the group's comfort and enjoyment. Without any hesitation, I would recommend Across Arizona Tours!

Grand Canyon - March We had visitors from PA and they had never seen The Canyon. We all decided to take the tour with Across Arizona and what a great idea that was. They provide a professional tour with a wonderful guide. They gave us time to take pictures and stopped at a very nice restaurant with good food at a reasonable price. This is the way to see The Canyon. We are looking forward to taking another tour upon the next visit with our family. I would highly recommend Across Arizona Tour to anyone. Fun, friendly, and informative.

Last week I had company from out of town, and they were wanting to go to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. I have never been to either place and have lived in Phoenix for 15 years. We took the Grand Canyon tour on Thursday and the Sedona tour on Monday. They were both excellent. Our tour guide for both tours was Kim, she was very knowledge, and a very outgoing person. A few of rthe other passengers and I are now friends, and since the tour we have shared emails and pictures. I highly recommend "Across AZ Tours' you will not be disappointed.
