+The Daily Show had a really good segment on women in politics yesterday and how they are treated differently from men.

Edit: actually, the entire episode with +Senator Elizabeth Warren is really good.

Deer were also victims of the barrier. A seven-year study in the Czech Republic's Sumava National Park showed that the original Iron Curtain line still deters one species, red deer, from crossing.

The average life expectancy for deer is 15 years and none living now would have encountered the barrier.
The Iron Curtain was traced by an electrified barbed-wire fence that isolated the communist world from the West.

High review scores are better than low ones, but reviews don't determine sales destiny.

Is anyone using OpenBSD as their everyday/work OS?

It's a very solid platform with excellent driver support for my ThinkPad x61s. The basic install comes with X installed and working fully. OpenBSD recognises my x6 Ultrabase dock without any extra configuration. I chose the laptop because while still very powerful this older model is very cheap on eBay and its OpenBSD support is excellent.

You can install desktop environments such as Gnome, KDE, xfce, etc, but I prefer to use the built-in cwm window manager which does everything I need without any fuss.

Show up early at this hole in the wall place else you'll get stuck in the line around the block. Even when busy though the time between ordering and plating is short so be ready to take on some deliciously spiced food. I had the bibimbap with Mongolian chicken and it was so massive, it would easily have fed two with a small side or dessert.

Had lunch on a lazy Friday with a couple coworkers. The staff was friendly and the chef came out to chat about the special of the day. Croque Mademoiselle was my dish of choice and man was it good, maybe a little too good. The only thing about the place I would change is for it to be open for dinner.

Tasty spot on the corner of the Ferry Building with seats outside to enjoy the fresh sea air in. I had the BBQ Chicken on a torpedo roll which was a good combination of smokey BBQ, slaw, and toppings. They had a delicious sounding pumpkin milkshake that I really wanted to try but just didn't have the space for. Next time.

The wild Maine blueberry jam is the best you will ever have. It's like eating a blueberry pie on bread.

Had a cheesy chicken sandwich with cheese and some extra cheese. Hmmmm delicious. Their fries are a solid example of how standard potatoes should be fried. Don't forget the ketchup!
