Abigails30 #4: We often get asked if the painting behind the Front Desk is Abigail, well yes and no. While the hotel is not named after a specific person named Abigail, the painting was commissioned to what we think she would look like had she existed in the 1930’s, when the building was constructed.

I'm not too sure about the cumin, but I'll give it a shot and see how it tastes.

Abigails30 #3: Our beautiful claw foot soaker tubs are Calvari Rain Bath systems, surrounded in glass with 12" rain can shower heads. The gold detailing on each tub was hand painted by owner Ellen Cmolik.
Secret: the tubs were too tall to fit in the bathrooms so the claw feet had to be cut down to size. They really are a labour of love!

Bed & Breakfast

Abigail’s Hotel is a unique accommodation experience that blurs the lines between a small luxury hotel and a heritage bed-and-breakfast Inn. Abigail's is an adult-only, intimate 23-room property that is housed in a 1930's Tudor mansion. Its special atmosphere blends the romance and charm of the past with the comfort and convenience of modern accommodation. Located in romantic Victoria, British Columbia, Abigail’s is quietly situated on the edge of the bustling downtown core and is three short blocks from Victoria’s Inner Harbour, within walking distance of all the major downtown attractions and restaurants. Life is too short to be conventional, discover a splendour and charm that has been lost to the ages and uniquely exists at Abigail’s.

This was one of our best experiences ever. A beautiful house in perfect shape, very friendly staff, especially Brenda with her gourmet breakfast. We stayed at the Tiffany Rose room with a fireplace, a luxury rainshower and big tub. Complimentary water in the room, tea and coffee all day long at the lobby. In the afternoon they serve complimentary snacks. We enjoyed our stay very much! A big thank you to the whole team.

Not only the hotel is very beautiful but the staff is also greatly professional and friendly. Their sincere help and care is the plus that brings the hotel to the next level. The rooms are perfectly clean, the breakfast is excellent. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

This place is amazing. I was hesitant to book a B&B style hotel instead of one of the large hotels in town - but I'm glad I did. We stayed in one of the Sapphire rooms & felt like royalty. The location was excellent & walking distance to everything. The staff is so friendly & helpful that it will make your head spin. They will make dinner reservations, call cabs, provide suggestions & help in any way they can. We will return for the royal rooms, the incredible breakfast & the top notch customer service. We can't wait to live the good life again on our next visit. Nothing but praise for this gem of a hotel. I got major bonus points from the wife on this hotel selection.

Twenty years ago we stayed at Abigail's in a Sapphire Room for our second wedding anniversary. It was March 1996 and this was definitely a great touch to our trip. The breakfasts were awesome and it was really neat to have breakfast in bed one day. We hope to return next month to have a slightly delayed 22nd wedding anniversary celebration.
