Abigails30 #4: We often get asked if the painting behind the Front Desk is Abigail, well yes and no. While the hotel is not named after a specific person named Abigail, the painting was commissioned to what we think she would look like had she existed in the 1930’s, when the building was constructed.

I'm not too sure about the cumin, but I'll give it a shot and see how it tastes.

Abigails30 #3: Our beautiful claw foot soaker tubs are Calvari Rain Bath systems, surrounded in glass with 12" rain can shower heads. The gold detailing on each tub was hand painted by owner Ellen Cmolik.
Secret: the tubs were too tall to fit in the bathrooms so the claw feet had to be cut down to size. They really are a labour of love!

Bed & Breakfast

Abigail’s Hotel is a unique accommodation experience that blurs the lines between a small luxury hotel and a heritage bed-and-breakfast Inn. Abigail's is an adult-only, intimate 23-room property that is housed in a 1930's Tudor mansion. Its special atmosphere blends the romance and charm of the past with the comfort and convenience of modern accommodation. Located in romantic Victoria, British Columbia, Abigail’s is quietly situated on the edge of the bustling downtown core and is three short blocks from Victoria’s Inner Harbour, within walking distance of all the major downtown attractions and restaurants. Life is too short to be conventional, discover a splendour and charm that has been lost to the ages and uniquely exists at Abigail’s.

A wonderful and delightful stay. We stayed 3 nights and the service was outstanding! The complimentary breakfast each morning was different and delicious. The appetizers served in the evening were remarkable. Everything is clean and tidy. As it was winter and close to the holidays, the hotel was festively decorated and cozy. A great stay and wonderful people!

Recently spent a weekend at Abigails and we were blown away by the level of service from every employee we encountered. Ella was especially helpful in recommending places to go and providing clear directions. Would definitely come back.

Excellent experience! The staff at Abigail's did everything to make us feel important. We had questions about Victoria, and they instantly jumped through hoops to get us more than enough information. I highly recommend talking to them about plans in Victoria, to get the inside scoop, as well as potential deals. The staff was so incredibly sincere, more than anything we have ever experienced before. They are a staff that takes great pride in their work and their city, and the enthusiasm and excitement they displayed was noteworthy.

Nick and the Abigails team make you feel most welcome the minute you walk in the door. The service is second to none, the entire hotel (kitchen included) is spotless, the menu is interesting and the food is excellent. The building is charming, the gardens which host a variety of birds including hummingbirds are lovely, and the decor is 'elegant comfort'. Five stars are not enough with which to rate our experience. Employees pay attention to what are perhaps small but impressive details. And as far as the location goes, it's centrally located enough that I had no problem walking back after a full day of exploring the beautiful inner harbour, China town, Fishermans' Wharf, Ogden point, James Bay, and the many inviting little bakeries and shops in between, and ... I'm a senior with a physical disability that affects my gait. My husband and I both recommend Abigails. In fact, we've already been recomending it to friends and family. We sincerely thank everyone at Abagails!
