Obligatory Mark Twain Quote: “The more I know about people, the better I like my dogs.”
It shows the extent of resources we use for our food and living.
Today's XKCD struck me as pertinent to the Vegan Conversation. In his delightfully skewed way of looking at the world, has compared humans to other mammals by weight (rather than by population).
Looking at this representation of "food" animals, I think on the massive amounts of unnecessary pollution from raising them all, as well as all the illness and death caused to humans by eating them, and deplorable waste of agricultural resources funneled in to feeding First World peoples "meat" rather than feeding the world at all. Then there's the unavoidable moral implications behind needlessly taking the lives of sentient individuals, etc...
Withal, I'm reminded of the sentiment that one cannot reasonably claim to be an animal lover, or an environmentalist, or a humanitarian without simultaneously being a vegan.

During aerodynamics testing, ... noticed that the bowtie on the Z/28’s grill was displacing air away from the radiator, which can impact engine cooling...
Removing the bowtie altogether did not seem to be an appropriate solution. Instead, Quinn took a cut-off wheel to the gold fill of the bowtie, leaving the silver outline intact
Flowtie dropped the temperatures of engine coolant and engine oil by 2°F (1.2°C) during extended track sessions.

You might get more dough for your buck with bigger pizzas, but the human brain is a funny thing.
Recently, and me found (to our amazement) that if we cut the pizza into 6 pieces instead of 4, we felt more satiated than if we cut them into 4 pieces! Both were similar frozen pizzas from the same box and if anything the toppings on the 6-pc-pizza were less than the 4-pc-pizza!
So you might end up with more pizza, but fewer pieces if you buy the bigger ones over the smaller.
