A big concrete step towards the "universe of things". Will uber become a "transportation platform" that enables "amazon immediate" and perhaps competes with Fedex and USPS for local and hyperlocal delivery? Maybe an outsourced platform for restaurant delivery.

I imagine an ecosystem of transportation platforms that have core competency based on distance and type of material: Examples include global and national, local, hyper local -- along with specialties in "standard items", "oversize", "medical", "hazardous"...

Combine this fragmentation with the soon-to-be explosion of micro-manufacturers and many opportunities lay ahead.

Funny! And given the inherent frustration that comes with most personal tech, probably more accurate than intended...

"Form follows feeling." True for great apps and true for great devices. Shouldn't it be true for buildings and public spaces as well?

Fascinating article on the intellectual power of "every day" people + internet. Better than the CIA with access to classified info
When 3,000 average citizens were asked to forecast global events, some consistently made predictions that turned out to be more accurate than those made with classified intelligence.
