The Angel Building, London, England

Since I am talking about Open House London and other people and photographers are also looking forward to it I thought I would treat you all to a mini series of my favourite Open House London photos that I have taken over the last 4 years.

I am also re-editing them too as I believe my editing style and what you like changes over the years. Some of you may remember me uploading this one over on my old account many years ago but I wanted to allow my new followers and people who havant seen it before the chance to see inside the Angel Building.

The Angel Building use to be a run of the mill office block before it was bought and done up for modern office work. Bang straight in the middle of this wondrous atrium is an art installation called 'Out of the Strong Came Forth Sweetness'. It replicates what happens to treacle when you drop it from a spoon, odd I know but it is something quite special to see.

One worth to put on your list, from what I remember you may have to pre book a tour however I think you can roam around this atrium without booking a tour although things do change year by year so worth getting the guide when it comes out.

1 Bishops Square, London, England

I really can't wait for Open House London, its one of the photographing highlights of the year for me and I always enjoy looking at new buildings.

This is a photo from one such building, 1 Bishops Square. Its art installation is pretty amazing and well worth a visit if your doing Open House this year and if its in this years program.

I have pre-ordered my guide ready for delivery in August, should be interesting to see whats in there. I think some Cross Rail stations might be one of the main locations this year although not 100% sure, suppose I have to just wait and see.

A Landscape, Architecture and Urban Photographer from North Yorkshire, England.
Introduction

My name is Aaron and I am based in the stunning county of North Yorkshire having just moved from Hertfordshire. My passion for photography started back in 2009 when I took a trip to New York. I took along my ‘Point and Click’ camera but when I got back to the UK I was so disappointed with the images of the iconic landmarks in New York and so because of this I went out and bought my first DSLR.

The type of photography that I enjoy revolves around the urban and city environment and its stunning, often unnoticed architecture. I find myself photographing a lot of stations, building interiors and spiral staircases in cities around the UK and Europe.

Over the last couple of years I have had my images printed and had articles written in several national photographic magazines including Amateur Photographer Magazine, Digital SLR Magazine and Digital Camera Magazine. My top achievements to date are 3rd place overall in the Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition 2013, Runner Up in the Lines of the Landscape award in Landscape Photographer of the Year 2011 and more recently receiving Commended in the Architecture Category Sony World Photography Awards 2014.

I am always keen to learn and try new photography techniques and always look forward to exploring new architecture and cities!
