Why do people get so angry about delays on Kickstarter projects?  Do you also get angry at the casino?  Cause its the same thing in my mind.

If the projects were fully operational they'd be on Amazon already.  The spirit of Kickstarter is to create potential where it wouldn't normally exist.  I feel like a pledge should be 90-100% "you have a great idea and I would love to see it blossom" and 0-10% "COOL STUFF!!!11!!!1."

This was already funny but anything that effectively uses the theme from The Thing is even greater.

I'm told this is not an acceptable reason to avoid going back to work.

Just saw Insidious 2 and and I really enjoyed it.  Sure it wasn't as atmospherically creepy most of the way through like the first one, but that's only because it was too busy expanding on the story.  I think you have to take both films into account as one to truly appreciate everything and that's exactly what a good sequel should do in my book.

I've had a craving for some B-movie goodness this week and its led me through some absolutely terrible wrecks on Netflix. But I did come across a couple that were enjoyable on some level.

Bounty Killer is over-the-top action that doesn't plan on being taken seriously.  Everyone had fun making it and it really shows.  The ridiculousness of the action reminded me of RED, multiplied by a hundred.  Very bloody.  Don't pay too much attention to why things are in this world, just trust each twist to get you to the next destination.

Crawlspace is a darker thriller/borderline sci-fi with not so subtle influences running from Scanners to Aliens.  It really needed more time to flesh itself out though, feeling like it finally bloomed at the very end.  This is unfortunate because the premise has promise in the hands of someone with more resources at their disposal.  Its akin to a debut author's book where you want to like the story but they do all kinds of things they shouldn't that just get in the way.  In the same way I'm pulling for a sequel that would hopefully show some improvement.  And so I'm hoping some studio doesn't nab the rights and start churning out DVD sequels a la Pulse or Species.  Also, claustrophobics be warned.
