Um. Yeah.  I don't understand this, but it sure sounds cool.

It is very wonderful stuff but this woman makes it unintelligible. She has some of the worst presentation skills I have ever witnessed. She has no idea of how to use Keynote (Apple's answer to PowerPoint).

Interesting short video (the link to the full video is in the description).  I like Steve's speaking style.

+Chris Kenst Yeah, I always get the feeling the Jurvetson is always leaking small secrets.  I hadn't heard that Google was moving to a system with cheap lidars built into the side mirrors.

Why don't we arrange our state legislatures so that each county gets equal say?

At least for the State Senate, then the less populated counties would still have a meaningful vote.  Currently all of the Legislative power is in the control of the heavily populated areas.

Went for my morning walk a bit early today.  Got to watch the moon set and almost saw the sun rise.  Nice way to start the day.

Yesterday's project was reinforcing the fence to keep a certain two year old from prying back the boards and escaping.

Elon Musk just tweeted that they're naming their spaceship drone ship "Just Read The Instructions", which is a nice nod to Iain M. Banks' Culture series (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_spacecraft_in_the_Culture_series).  I need to reread some of those books.  Maybe I will go with Player of Games.

I eagerly await the drone called "Meat Fucker"...

Do this Google security checkup and get a 2 GB increase for your Google Drive storage.  I did, and it took less than a minute.

Anyone on G+ have a clue of how to fix this?  I'd be happy to switch to the Google Play store if there was some way to move my library. :)

One more project for today: replaced all seven smoke detectors.  It's been a productive day.

Today's project: cutting this pole into four pieces so that it'll fit in the recycling bin.  First time using an angle grinder for cutting.  I love the smell of hot steel.  Lesson learned: get some good hearing protection!

I suspect that Google's reselling of wireless service (assuming it's real) is going to be really tempting.

I'm happy with T-Mobile's service level and plans.  Sure, coverage could be better, especially when I travel somewhere remote, but that just doesn't come up very often.  Also, in my experience they have very good customer service, which Google isn't exactly known for.  At the end of the day, it'll probably come down to the plan pricing.  If I could get an unlimited data plan for what I pay now for 3 GB, or if I could get an equivalent plan for a much lower price, I'd probably switch.

Or maybe Google will be able to offer something new, like phones that span carriers (works simultaneously with T-Mobile and Sprint's towers), satellite/balloon uplinks, etc...

+Jack Keane wow.  That's some substantial savings.  Are you locked in now, or could you jump again if something better comes along?
