Capturing this image was fun, not quite as easy as using glass, but still a cool shot.

+Matthew Shaver to be fair you're correct, although it was actually over in a center isle. I wish Sam's had this since it's only 5 minutes away but the Costco is 25 minutes away.

A little under a year and 50 pounds lighter. On the day I turn 35 for the first time since I was probably 18 or 19 I weight less than 200 pounds!

It's been quite the journey and I have a lot of people to thank for the support along the way. +The Michael Lipson for some. Tips and inspiration, to my son David for the motivation, and of course +Heather Kasten for fixing food that was better for us.

Now that I've reached my ultimate goal of sub 200 I'm going to pig out for a few days and celebrate my birthday with friends and family. Then I'll play limbo and see how low I can go. I think 185 is probably my ideal weight.

Thanks to everyone who helped along the way.

My advice to others, will power, your will is stronger than your cravings once you realize that and overcome it, anything is possible.

Proposal

I propose that we come together as a nation.  Let us take this opportunity as our brethren on the east coast feel the impact of the #snowmageddon   #snowpocalypse  storm that is descending upon them.  Let us not speak out in attempts to make fun of them freaking out about their weather.  Remember we all have had our opportunity to have some shitty natural event.  We can all agree right here on this day to stop this silliness of picking on each other. For example when it snows in Texas, or somebody spills a bottle of water on a highway in california or it rains a bit on the east coast or even if the earth moves but not as much as we think is appropriate for the social shit storm that takes place.  We can stop this all.

We can come together as one Nation nay as one world and collectively say "Fuck you Florida" nobody cares how nice your weather is today because your going to be the Atlantic Ocean in 50 years.

#fuckflorida   #futureatlanticocean

Best burger I have had in DFW so far. I have had many burgers at Rodeo Goat but 1 reigns supreme above all other burgers I have ever tasted. The Chaca Oaxaca is the tastiest patty of meat to ever grace my taste buds. Quality beer selection, fun atmosphere and an attentive staff make this my #1 burger joint.

I like 5 guys, it's a good burger, and the fries are excellent. Unfortunately there is a Red Robin right around the corner and for about the same price I can get a better burger, unlimited fries and a bottomless rootbeer float. Or if I am feeling cheap I can run to In n Out down the street. I used to eat here all the time but they have been overshadowed by superior competition in my burger craving hierarchy.

I can only speak for this specific Red Robin as I hear bad things from everyone I know about their local Red Robin, but that being said this one is excellent. The staff is well trained and friendly. The manager has come to speak to our table at almost every visit. The food is consistently very good and the burgers are excellent for the price. You could go to 5 guys in the same parking lot and get a mediocre overpriced burger or come to this Red Robin, enjoy some outdoor seating on a nice day, get a significantly better burger, add a beer or boozy shake (the Guinness and jameson shake is legit!), and get the bottomless fries all for about the same as you would pay at 5 Guy's. Pro tip: Ask for fries when your server takes your drink order and enjoy them while you wait for your food. Everything I have had here has exceed my expectations and as I said the service is excellent. I tried to convince myself this should 4 stars but when I looked at all the points I judge at a restaurant this Red Robin exceeded expectations in every measurable way.

Best liquor store in the area by far. Best beer selection in the area as well. only place I have ever found Dogfish head 120. Friendly staff and good prices, what else could you ask for?

Dutch's won the 2016 Burger battle? I don't see how considering the determining factor was consistency and I have had anything but. Twice I have visited Dutch's and twice I have been left unimpressed. Sure the burgers are usually good but the 2 I have had were not as good as Rodeo Goat. So okay they have good burgers I won't deny them that but the staff is inatentive and seems annoyed almost every time somebody walks up to the counter (that's right you order from a counter they don't even have to serve you) you then go pick up your own food. It's like the owner planned to have his staff bothered by customers as little as possible. Beer... what beer? I think there were maybe 4 to choose from, I think they were all the extremely overhyped Rhar and neither time I have been was anyone even at the bar to serve a beer had I actually wanted one. I'd give them 4 stars based on burger quality but all the other misses drag this place down. Go to Rodeo goat just down the road and you will be much happier with better service, more choices, better drinks (they have boozy shakes! They have Rhar too if that is your thing) and in my opinion better burgers. They are close enough that you should seriously just skip Dutch's entirely, I don't feel any desire to ever return.
