Hey all - I've been practicing on a Trotec laser engraver, really liking it.

Wondering if there are any useful forums or communities for laser stuff - I'm trying to figure out how to do bas-relief in wood from photographs.  Thanks!

Protect yourselves!
A few short weeks ago, we were conducting a security training for a group of journalists in Palestine. The journalists were deeply aware of the potential threats facing them—and by not one, but three governments—but didn’t have the first idea of how to mitigate against those threats. “It’s too confusing!”...

Had a dream where Bill Gates, who was the President at the time, came to me while I was living in a run down basement and gave me a copy of the I Ching.

Yeap.

My first time trying Yin Yoga.

I REALLY enjoyed this set. Really did wonders for my legs and mid/upper back.

Thank you very much!

Lots of food and medicine. Very affordable. Ginger here is very affordable and of good quality - around $1-1.50/lb. They also have an extensive herb selection. I have found that the service there is friendlier than at Lotus.

I've been eating at this restaurant for 8 years now. It's my favorite Thai restaurant in Pittsburgh, and for good reason! Homemade recipes, skilled cooks, and fresh ingredients from the Strip. They even use organic coconut milk! I highly recommend the Green Curry - it's been my favorite for a long time.

Cats and Dogs has quickly become my favorite coffee shop in Pittsburgh. They provide Commonplace Coffee (which is excellent) and pastries from Enrico's Biscotti (I highly recommend the chocolate macaroons). The owners are open and engaging, interfacing directly with the customers. Others that work here do so on a voluntary basis - because they want to. Always interesting conversation and discussion, as well as several events, including a pop-up bookstore, literary readings, several discussion groups, and art shows.
