Is conventional lawn spraying that much different than so called "organic" lawn care. Yes! The conventional lawn spraying can use a hybrid of organic and conventional methods. The “one trick pony” organic guys have only one option to keep your lawn healthy http://ow.ly/CXDw30iPSLx

Bench Height is the height your mower is set at while the canopy height is height of the lawn after mowing. Of the two heights, the canopy height is the most important. For a St Augustine lawn, the minimum canopy height is 4” and 6” is best and still looks good. Measure after mowing and if the canopy isn’t at least 4” tall raise the mower. http://ow.ly/Hjdo30iHrMv

Abnormally warm February in Pinellas forced winter annual weeds to germinate and grow rapidly in unison resulting in mounds of winter annuals in the lawns. No need to panic, they will soon die in the same heat that triggered the mass germination http://ow.ly/pgYX30iyXeJ

Does raking leaves help your lawn? NO! Raking leaves damages the grass. It is best to use a mulching mower and let the lawn naturally compost the leaves into plant food. Required for Composting: Keep the lawn tall and wet http://ow.ly/HO1p50gyVwt–-oak-leaves-are-good-lawn

The front yard is for show but the back yard is for you. Make it yours with "outdoor rooms" for cooking, dining, relaxing or just hanging out with friends. And not every inch of the backyard needs to be turf - pavers, shell and even white beach sand make great backyards

Many think they can kill their lawn with water, being so stingy with water the lawn dies from lack of water. Should you water too much, cut the water back and the lawn will recover. Too little water and it dies! Pro Tip: Keep the lawn wet http://www.iloveturf.com #pinellas #lawns

The soil is an ecosystem of macro and microorganisms that is the plant's stomach, processing waste into plant nutrients to be absorbed by the roots and used by the plant for energy. This symbiotic relationship between soil microbes and the plant is part of the natural cleansing of our environment by recylcing organic and inorganic wastes into plant food. And no other plant/soil relationship does this better than a healthy St Augustine lawn. https://youtu.be/I1Ho57yQ0Y4
