Thanks, +AMD . I'll take a look behind the marketing screen ;-) Hopefully this (or a similar one) will replace my AMD_64 servers.

I'm sorry... but until +AMD starts aggressively courting #Android  and #Chromebook  design wins... it's REALLY  hard to buy the idea that AMD is going for the rapidly growing IT market segments; especially in reference to the client-side of #networkattachedstorage  / #networkattachedprocessing  that is often lumped together as #cloud . Even if there's just a statement that Android/Chromebook design bids are being held back until the upcoming ARMv8-architecture processors are ready would help ease the negative perceptions surrounding the current AMD product strategy.

As far as #InternetOfThings  strategy?  Okay... a fair point can be made that the upcoming driver strategy change in reference to future GPU designs does make quite a difference in potential wins. But even two years ago #bloomberg  of all organizations caught on that Android was the big factor in IOT: http://www.bloomberg.com/bw/articles/2013-05-29/behind-the-internet-of-things-is-android-and-its-everywhere

Let's face it: AMD is still a complete non-entity in terms of ANY +Android products currently available or expected on the market.  Again, hard sell.

Get some design wins into channel and products into reviewers hands... and it might be a bit easier to take Mr. Norrod seriously.
