GALAXY LOLLIPOPS

INGREDIENTS

2 cups granulated sugar
⅔ cup light corn syrup
⅔ cup water
Gel food coloring (black, violet, teal, pink)
edible glitter
White nonpareils
Lollipop sticks

LET'S GET COOKING...

Fill a large bowl with plenty of ice and cold water and set aside. Place parchment paper or a silpat on a large baking sheet and set aside.

In a small saucepan fitted with a candy thermometer , combine sugar, cornstarch, and water, until all the sugar is wet. Without stirring, allow the mixture to come to a boil on medium heat. You may swirl the mixture occasionally. Prevent crystallization by using a pastry brush to apply water along the sides of the saucepan to dissolve any sugar.

When the temperature reaches anywhere between 295-310°F, remove the saucepan from the heat and place in the ice water for about 20 seconds. Carefully wipe the saucepan dry.

Pour and divide the mixture evenly into 4 heat-safe bowls or measuring cups with spouts. Use wooden skewers to color each bowl with one of the food colorings.

Place a few lollipop sticks on the lined baking sheet, making sure to leave about 2-3 inches between each one.

Drizzle and overlap a small amount of each mixture and sprinkle some edible glitter to cover the ends of the sticks. Use a wooden skewer to fill in any gaps, and mix to resemble a galaxy. Place a few nonpareils to resemble stars.

Allow to harden completely at room temperature.

Just because it is Amish ran or owned does not mean everything is made from or grown from the Amish. Amazing what bulk food, put in small packages and relabeled means.

Drive snow plows over 1/4 inch snow, not even pushing snow. Sparks fly, tearing up road, then charge taxpayers to repair. Creats more dangerous intersection, Creates noise ordinance issues. Wont fix problems they created.
