There's nothing like coming home after a day of thunderstorms to find an inch of water in the basement.

Installing Ubuntu Budgie on my laptop for a second look. The computer's name? HAL-9000 of course.

KDE neon installed and running. Two frustrations I ran into with kde 5.10. First, qtcurve needs update to function with 5.10. Second, 5.10 prevents dolphin from opening as root. I read that eventually this will change in a future release (and yes, I know I can work in the terminal as root). Otherwise, so far so good.

I'm going to do kde for a while (just for variety's sake). So should I go KDE Neon or Kubuntu? I want a Ubuntu base, so don't suggest another KDE distro!

After a long day of landscape work, we grabbed some dinner at Skipper's floating restaurant.

Workspaces question for the budgie desktop. In Gnome Shell, if you have dual monitors and change workspaces, one monitor stays fixed at workspace one while the other monitor changes to a different workspace. In budgie, both monitors will change to the "new" workspace. Is there a way to get the Gnome Shell behavior in budgie? I find it extremely useful having one monitor fixed and the other switchable. Thanks in advance! +Ikey Doherty +Solus

Working on a review of the Tilix terminal emulator, should have it up in a day or so. If you're on a GTK environment, this is an awesome tool for working the command line.
