So you can kinda see the trail behind the rock at the #Racetrack in Death Valley National Park. We just did this trip in October, so I am assuming that the tracks are much more pronounced in the spring, after it freezes and they really move. I didn't get the clouds that evening for a crazy sunset either, but it was a fun ride out there. Everyone said it would take 3 hours or more to get out there, but the Jeep did it in 2. I will post some more from this leg of the trip pretty soon.

Another sleepy sunrise photo with the Painted Lady reflecting in one of the Rae Lakes (the middle one). I grabbed a shot of this the evening before, as the sun was setting with +John Amorosano sitting in the foreground, and then I took this the following morning just as the sun was rising. There was a large cloud sitting above the divide to the left of the shot, so it cast a shadow on the peak and the peaks behind the Painted Lady. We stayed on the lake for 2 nights in a row and it worked out much better, because this was after the second night and I had a better idea of where to camp to get a better shot. The area of trees in the middle of this photo was where we camped the night prior and it was too close to get a decent reflection shot the first night, so night two didn't disappoint and neither did this particular morning. Right after breakfast, we took off over Glenn Pass - which is to the right of the peaks) and the clouds started to roll in with some cooling weather. This pic was taken back in the beginning of August and it was almost 90 during the day, so the weather system was really welcome.
I shot this with an ND filter on the lens and a tripod to get some of the lake water to smooth out and get a decent reflection. This photo is comprised of 12 images stitched together, so this is a laaaaaarge print! The whole third day back there, I shot to print and they all came out awesome!
