★ ARE YOU GRADUATING SOON? ★

Popularly known as TR, Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa allows individuals to live, study and work in Australia for up to 4 years.

★What is Temporary Graduate Visa?
This visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian education institute.

★This visa has two streams:
👉 Graduate Work Stream - for international students with an eligible qualification who graduate with skills and qualifications that relate to an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL). A visa in this stream is valid for 18 months from the date of grant.
👉 Post-Study Work stream – for international students who graduate with a higher education degree from an Australian education provider, regardless of their field of study. This stream is only available to students who applied for, and were granted, their first student visa to Australia on or after 5 November 2011. A visa in this stream can be valid for up to four years from the date the visa is granted, depending on the visa applicant's qualification.

★You can apply for this visa if you:
✔ are younger than 50 years old
✔ are currently in Australia
✔ hold an eligible visa
✔ meet the two-year Australian study requirement
✔ have graduated within last 6 months with either an eligible qualification or with skills & qualifications that relate to an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL).

SOL or CSOL?

We have recently received numbers of inquiries from people who were confused about the difference between SOL and CSOL and which visa can be used to apply under different occupation list. Here is the simple explanation for you.

★Skilled Occupations List (SOL) is relevant for applicants who need a visa for:
☑ Independent points-based skilled migration who are not nominated by a state or territory government agency (Subclass 189)
☑ A family sponsored points-based skilled visa (Subclass 489)
☑ Temporary Graduate Visa (Graduate Work Stream Subclass 485)
=============================
★Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL) is relevant for applicants who need a visa for:
☑ Points-based skilled migration who are nominated by a state or territory government agency
☑ A direct entry stream employer nomination scheme visa (ENS) who must have been nominated by an Australian employer
☑ A Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457)
☑ A training and Research Visa (Subclass 402)

Please also note that CSOL is a combination of both schedule 1 and schedule 2 from the new occupation list for 2016-17 announced by DIBP. Check out the Full list here: http://bit.ly/1V5qwWy

If you have any further questions about SOL and CSOL, you can inbox us your question or email to marketing@aeccglobal.com

💡 3 Steps to a 457 Employer Sponsored Visa

The 457 Visa Program enables employers to sponsor the overseas skilled workers when they cannot find skilled locals for the job. Here are the three processing stages in sponsoring an overseas worker.

★Step 1. Sponsorship - when an employer applies for approval by the Immigration Department as a standard business sponsor.

★Step 2. Nomination - when an approved sponsor identifies a position to be filled. The position must relate to an eligible occupation on the Consolidated Skilled Occupation List (CSOL).

★Step 3. Visa Application - when the overseas skilled worker applies for the visa. A 457 visa cannot get processed without an approved sponsor and nomination.
Have questions about any requirements on 457 visa? Contact AECC Global at 03 9614 5900 for everything you need to know!

👉 Change one: A new 457 Visa Sponsor’s Obligation added
- A standard business sponsor must not engage in, or have engaged in discriminatory recruitment practices during the period of the person’s approval as a sponsor.

👉 Change 2: The requirement of English Language Testing has been removed for those applicants who has already been required for registration or occupation licensing.

👉 Change 3: Visa applicants are required to include their nomination details in the application to streamline the visa processes.

>> How to Prepare a Statement of Purpose?

Statement of Purpose is one of the most important part of your application that ensures the University to have all of the information to assess your application.

>> Benefits of a SOP
👉 A well written SOP enhances your chance of admissions to your preferred universities and reflects your ability to portray clearly and intelligently through your writing skills.
👉 The Statement of Purpose will also help you to prepare for any interview that you may be required to have with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) if they decide to interview you.

>> What you should include in your SOP?
✔ Your Background
✔ Your Education and work experience
✔ Reasons for choosing to study in Australia instead of your own country
✔ Reasons for deciding to pursue education at a particular institution
✔ Immediate and long term goals

SOP should be distinct, honest and establish the personal connection. It should not replicate the resume, prepare a work of fiction, recount experiences. Write a canned essay and highlight obvious reasons for choosing the university.

Want to know more about how to write an effective SOP or seeking any advice on your study in Australia? Contact AECC Global today to meet one of our experienced counsellors.
