A Day Away Kayak Tours offers tours seven days a week at various sites across Central Florida. Our base of operation is the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in East Central Florida, one of the most diverse estuaries in North America. Here we frequently encounter manatee, dolphin, alligator and a large variety of birds. We may also run into wild pigs and turkeys. While exploring the grass flats we often dig for clams, find sea horses, pipefish, various shells, stingray, horse shoe crab and much other aquatic life.

To experience paddling in the natural beauty of Florida, give us a call at (321) 268-2655 to reserve your spots. It is our desire to offer you the best possible paddling experience at the best price available! Come Kayak Florida with us!

The place is in the middle of nowhere that's why it is perfectly dark and is the best place to see the bioluminiscent effect. Also, it is perfect to see the stars and milky way. Our tour guides were very friendly and helpful.

Simply the best eco tour in Central Florida. Our guide Brian was as knowledgeable as a college biology professor.

We went on a Moonlight tour last Saturday. There were 6 of us and the evening was perfect! We were not rushed in anyway...took our time to see a bird refuge, a lagoon with bio luminescent jelly fish, and spent time drifting in the open under the moonlight for quite a while. It was by far one of the best experiences the 6 of us had had together. Our guide Tim was relaxed, confident, knowledgeable and accommodating. Will definitely be doing future tours and events with Day Away Kayak Tours!

Went on vacation to Titusville FL this August and had the opportunity to go on some tours with A Day Away Kayak Tours. All of the staff members were very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient with us. The bio luminescent night tour was probably the most interesting tour that we went on. It's exhilarating to kayak in perfect darkness with manatees and alligators and watch the water begin to glow in the dark as your paddle or hand disturbs the tiny micro-organisms in the water. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Orlando/Cape Canaveral area.

I, along with a friend, attended a tour recently and I've decided that I'll take my business to another company in the future. It was an awful experience influenced by choices company representatives decided to make regarding equipment and customer service. It should be noted that customers do not pay approximately $28 shy of $100 (for a party of two) just to rent equipment and kayak. If this was the case, it would be much cheaper to do this and skip a guided tour. When paying approximately $72, customers do so for the experience overall. If you'd like to enjoy your experience with your party...I'd recommend contacting another company.

Good Day Jared, We are truly sorry that you had a bad experience on one of our tours. We appreciate your honest review and in order to improve upon the services we offer we would like to understand, specifically the "choices company representatives" made that you felt were out of line. We do spend a great deal of time training our guides and maintaining our equipment and appreciate any opportunity to improve. Please feel free to contact the office and ask for Elisabeth K or send an email sharing your concerns to mike@adayawaykayaktours.com Regards, The Management Team @ A Day Away

I did the nighttime kayak tour last night with A Day Away Kayak Tours and had a blast. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in experiencing the east coast. The entire staff from checking in to turning in our vests at the end were amazing. They all seemed happy about what they do and made it an interesting and relaxing experience. I think my tour guide was named John and he was hilarious and knowledgeable. As my boyfriend and I left the tour we already discussed doing another tour with the company which will absolutely happen in the near future.

Went on the bioluminescent kayaking tour and it was amazing. Picked the date using the calender for best visibility and it really paid off. The tour guides were very patient and helpful. I had special requests and they exceeded my expectations. Aside from the torpedoing fish all over, some of kayakers woke a group of sleeping manatees which appeared as a giant glowing bubble factory followed by giant glowing manatees swimming in all directions. Nothing beats the vision of the giant glowing manatee swimming right beside my kayak. And on top of that the night was so perfect we saw many shooting stars as a bonus. Thanks A Day Away Kayak Tours for a most memorable family adventure.
