I'm headed to Cuba to see the local startup scene, and paddle a kayak 103 miles across open-water from Havana to Key West. At least, that's the plan. I'm a bit nervous, namely of choppy waters, weather, and of course sharks. But I'm very excited. Wish me luck. https://medium.com/@adampopescu/cuban-startup-stories-2184e3e2b19c

"I had three open heart surgeries when I was born...It’s called the tetralogy of flow. I’m supposed to be very inactive with a sluggish heart. And I’m very active. An anomaly...I think it put a fight in me from the beginning."

I spoke with Olympian +Shaun White on what gave him the drive to win in the snow and in business.

"For a long time, my greatest fear — and I don’t deal with that word at all — was to have a great opportunity that I’m not prepared for. Like meeting Sinatra and working with him at 29. He tested me, but I was ready. "

I got the chance to speak with +Quincy Jones. The man has done more than you, me and all your friends and family put together.

I spoke with NASA Astronaut +Ron Garan, a man who's spent more than 177 days in space. We talked about everything from what space travel does to your body, to near death experiences and even whether or not he believes in intelligent life beyond our own. Great man.

"People think that you’re living in a can and it’s claustrophobic and even when you’re up there six months at a time, it’s not going to be enjoyable. But it really was incredible. The view, floating, the microgravity environment, the freedom that that affords, being able to fly around—I could get to work every morning by flying."

"An artist’s job isn’t necessarily to answer questions—it’s to pose questions."

Agree? Read more of my interview with Aaron Axelrod, the only time I've been to Canter's Deli and didn't eat, too busy listening to Aaron detail his process and point-of-view.
