What a beautiful May we had! And now in June the rose garden is in full bloom. It's a great time of year to visit Asheville!

Greenways , just like the Reed Creek Greenway here in Montford, are being created throughout Asheville! Get out and walk, jog, or bicycle while you're here.

The bed had the softest most comfortable sheets I have ever felt. Emily and Bill were wonderful hosts. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent. Our hosts were gracious enough to accommodate any specific dietary restrictions. Emily even had fresh baked cookies when we got there! I could not be more satisfied with our stay. I highly recommend A Bed of Roses BnB.

Thank you for the good word! We're happy that you had an enjoyable stay and a good sleep. We've found that investing in high quality bedding is well worth the cost. We hope to see you here again soon!

We're glad you enjoyed your stay at A Bed of Roses! This time of year can be difficult to accommodate the comfort levels of all of our guests in this big antique home. With the temperatures dipping to the 30s, 40s and 50s in the evenings and up to the 70s in the afternoons, most of our guests prefer to have their windows open and enjoy the fresh mountain air. This is more effective in some of the larger rooms than in the smaller room you stayed in. However we did hire our handyman to install the window air conditioner just in your room during your stay. I hope that helped.

My wife and I went with another couple to A Bed of Roses for my 30th birthday and both couples' anniversaries. It's a small bed and breakfast about a 10-minute walk from downtown. Both rooms were small, but the bathrooms more than made up for it--one with a jacuzzi tub and the other with a deep claw-foot tub. The two breakfasts were night and day different, but both were delicious and kept us full until mid-afternoon. The amenities are slight (no wine/cheese at 4pm, pay for soft drinks, no ice for a cooler), but you can't find a more reasonably priced B&B within walking distance of the coolest city in NC. We'll be back.

My wide and I loved it, a beautiful old house with lots of class and caricter. Located a pritty easy 15 minute walk from downtown Ashville with one large steep hill going over the highway. On the other side of the coin after sampling the local culture, dinning, and many brewerys your walk home is mostly downhill! The owners pride in their work shows at breakfast, we were served a two course gourmet meal with all the guest together at a comment table. I will definitely recommend this beautiful B&B to all my friends and family.

My wife and I recently spent our 25th wedding anniversary at A Bed of Roses. We couldn't have had a nicer experience. Emily and Bill were great hosts. The three breakfasts that we had with them were all different; all a feast for the eyes as well as the taste-buds; and kept us well full til our late afternoon lunches. The B&B is within walking distance of downtown; however, we tended to drive and find parking. Were we leaner and younger or had the weather been cooler, I am sure we would have enjoyed strolling. We did enjoy walking around the neighborhood admiring the houses and gardens (the one decorated with the naked gi joes and barbies was a little startling but in a whimsical way). It was very nice to come back to find lemonade in the fridge, pour a glass, and sit out on the balcony overlooking the front garden. I heartily recommend A Bed of Roses.

Thanks for sharing! We have a great historic neighborhood, with many "eclectic" neighbors. I'm glad you got a chance to stroll around it during your stay. We call the yard down the street the "Barbie Installation"! They are fun folks who are also involved in the LaZoom Comedy Tour Bus that you may have seen tooling around town. Happy Anniversary again, and please come back to celebrate the next one!
