Operating your vehicle with worn ball joints will not only cause uneven tire wear and negatively effect the steering, it also can be dangerous. Harlan Lupton, ASE Certified Master Mechanic, is seen here replacing ball joints on a 1999 Chevy Silverado.

We're doing some serious restoration work on this 1983 AMC Eagle, including the lost art of rebuilding a carburetor. Thanks to Don at our Fort St. shop for using his many years of experience to solve an issue that is rarely dealt with in 2019. http://ow.ly/i/KAlzo

How much does it cost to get a fuel pump replaced? How about brake rotors installed? While we don't give prices over the phone for services without seeing the vehicle, we recommend an app called Repair Pal, which provides a range of prices for a given service in your area.

"Why should I worry about getting my car serviced for winter? It's not even that cold outside". Yes, we're happy to be outside in short sleeves, but it's probably not going to last. We suggest you get a winter car check before it turns bad.

We consider the Subaru Outback to be very reliable with good longevity, as long as it's properly maintained. The owner of this 2012 model agrees. Nik Dobbs, one of our ASE Master Technicians, is seen here changing a timing belt and doing a tune up.

Gone but not forgotten by any means. It was one year ago today that long-time loyal, skilled and personable Shop Manager Todd Woltz passed away. We miss Todd very much.

When you go to an auto repair shop, does the service writer ask you specific questions about what's going on with your vehicle? Are you asked to describe the sounds it makes? We do, not because we want to put you on the spot, but because it helps us to more quickly diagnose and fix the problem.

You always hear about new year's resolutions (we prefer to think of them as goals). What are your goals for 2019? Whether they be losing weight, making more money, getting in shape, or all of the above, we suggest you write down specific goals and review your progress periodically. Don't be one of those people that signs up for a one-year membership at the health club and stays faithful until about February 15th! Approach your goals with vigor and consistency.
