Your customers want to be able to start a conversation with you on one channel, pick it back up on another, and finish it seamlessly on a third. If you have no way of communicating with your customers in a consistent manner across all of your platforms, you're going to lose their attention - and perhaps already have. Today's the day to start doing something about it!

"Do more things that scare you" - cheesy motivational poster or sound business advice? It turns out it's both of those things. You'll get better at dealing with rejection, more comfortable trying new things, and bolder in the face of steep odds. What's one thing you can do this week that you've been scared to try in the past?

Want to give better product demos? Stop focusing on your product so much. Yes, your listeners need to understand how it works. But they also need to really grasp how it's going to solve their specific problems, how their business will benefit uniquely, and how it can be tailored to their specific situation. In short, know and understand your audience. Listen to them. Don't just go in with your preset pitch and expect amazing results. You'll be highly disappointed.

Our vehicles are increasingly becoming mobile computers. Infotainment systems, automated driver assistance packages, keyless ignitions, and many more features give us added convenience, but they come at a cost. Hackers can use these high-tech features to gain access to (and, as researchers demonstrated in 2015, even gain control of) your vehicle. Since high-tech cars aren’t going away anytime soon, here’s how to protect yourself against vehicle hacking.

If your New Year's resolutions are already off the rails, you're not alone. Most resolutions are broad, vague...and utterly unattainable. Rather than trying to overhaul your whole life, focus on a few key areas where you can have a measurable impact. Intentionally schedule time for yourself. Be disciplined about delegation. Join a networking group. Volunteer once a month. Simple changes that you can stick to will pay dividends. Think about it - what would January 2020 look like if you made just one intentional change and stuck with it all 2019 long?

As we head into a new week, spend a few minutes thinking about how you think and behave as a leader. Do you seek every opportunity to give positive reinforcement to your teams? Do you listen first, before giving instructions or correcting? Do you promote an inclusive atmosphere, where you take partial responsibility for solving problems and reaching goals? If not, you're doing your team and your business a disservice. It's time to focus on being better leaders in 2019.

If you’re like most software vendors, you’re probably always looking for ways to improve your product offerings and gain an edge on the competition. You also probably have a development roadmap that spans months or even years, chock-full of great ideas that just have to wait their turn until your busy team can get to them. Perhaps integrated payments are already on that roadmap somewhere, or perhaps they’re not. Either way, they’re almost certainly not as close to the top as they should be. Here are our top three reasons why your software needs integrated payments ASAP.

Vision alone is not enough to propel your business to success. Good leaders know it takes incredible discipline to get there. Set your priorities, build out a calendar that actually reflects those priorities, and communicate early often with your team about where you stand on your key metrics. This keeps everyone accountable - including you - and removes any excuses you might have for not meeting your goals.
