HI PEOPLE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY BE IT ON YOUR OWN HEAD. And here is the reasons why I think I have been ripped off. Part of a letter i sent them. 1 Why on your chat line yesterday did you say we don't cover boilers over 15 years old and you let me take out cover back in February, I took out cover back then and told your salesman the boiler was over 15 years old and he told me no problem we cover boilers 15 years and over. 2 why did you service the boiler if you new it was over 15 years old and if I had known there was a £75 pounds excess charge which again (I was not told) I would not have taken the insurance cover out, your salesman told me no problem we cover boilers over 15 years old, go back over the recordings and you will see for yourself, I am really upset, I have 2 grandchildren that live with me and you have left them with no heating, I hope you are proud of yourselves. 3 I even have to pay another 3 payments to you before I can cancel because you are saying I would have to pay for the service I had, I am going to be writing to watchdog, and I will be taking you to court, no wonder you have so many bad reviews, I should have listened to the reviews, but I thought no give you the benefit of the doubt . 4 In my opinion you rip people of I paid you £10 month thinking I was covered how wrong I was, soon as I needed help you just ripped me of asking for another £75 pound and a £120 cancellation fee, which I have not got. 5 Its all about the money with you, you don't care about the customers as long as you got money coming in every month when something goes wrong you are not interested. 6 Trust me I wont let this rest, you are just scam rip of merchants, hope you sleep well at nights knowing you left kids with no heating in the middle of winter, one of the reasons I paid £10 a month is because I thought I would be covered, you should have never took me on as a customer in the first place, if you new the boiler was over 15 years old, so if I was you I would speak to your so called salesman, once again its all about the money not the customer. PS I shall also be writing a review to let your customers know what you are really like. happy Christmas. Regards.

I normally go for the market leader of a reputable name when taking out insurances but I though I would try one of the smaller companies and now regretting it. I took out the top cover for my central heating system and shortly after this I noticed that there was a problem with the system whereby the boiler would not turn off and was heating the water to a dangerous temperature so I called the claim line, which incidentally is an 0845 number, I waited in excess of 10 minutes and started to give details of the problem when the line dropped. I know I cannot blame the company for that but I call ed again and gave all the details again. I waited another 5 minutes whilst the "advisor" when off and did something, which I suspect was to try to come up with an excuse why I wasn't covered. Which she duly obliged. So now I have paid for the cover, paid £17 in call changes and I am still not covered for a potentially dangerous scolding bomb in my airing cupboard. This company is a scam beware. Take a look at the company's responses. It is the same every time so they do not look at the issues. I urge everyone who is making a claim to trading standards, BBC watchdog and the financial ombudsman

It is a shame I did not read all the reviews on here about this appalling company DO NOT USE and if you do want to waste your money read the small print especially if your appliance is a few years old, they will sell you a policy that is next to useless when you try to claim or complain. Apart from paying an engineer £75 for coming out and leaving the pump leaking all over the garage. And then just to say beyond economical repair and we are cancelling your policy. When you dare to complain you get absolutely appalling customer service they can't even put you through to a manager or the service department who don't call you back. Reply to complaint - basically tough luck. AVOID AVOID AVOID. It is encouraging in some ways to see that I am not alone, I have never seen so many 1 stars this should tell you something. On other review site the 5 star reviews mostly seem to be about their experience when selling them a policy - TRY claiming - one of the biggest mistakes we ever made.

Be very careful of this company. Absolute scam!!! I made the mistake of moving from British Gas a year ago (Only reason being the fees). Service was absolutely poor...on hold for ages whenever I call them...the earliest they managed to send somebody on two occasions was the next day and when they came they said...oh your contract does not cover this! So I had to call someone privately to fix the issue with my boiler. On trying to cancel they threatened me that you have to pay for the rest of the year, which is fine but I told them I didn't want to renew next year. I was not given any letter regarding my renewal this year, they just cheekily renewed it, unlike all other insurance/maintenance companies. On having sold the property, I wanted to cancel because I didn't require them and they threatened me with cancellation fees of £120 because I called them out once for which they couldn't help me! They just seem to want to charge you money without providing any proper service or customer care. Should have stuck with British Gas.

I don't think I can give this less stars, I would give negative if I could. I moved from British Gas as they convinced me they would give the same cover for my central heating and plumbing. 6 weeks in I woke up to water coming through my Hall ceiling. This was due to a leak from the bathroom toilet. They say most claims like this i.e. within weeks of the start of a contract were already known about and are fraudulent. It has been a really stressful week - 24 hours is the time it takes them to come back to your initial call and 7 days is the time it takes for them to tell you they want you to pay for the fix. To get a plumber to isolate the problem and assess what needed to be done, I had to pay £75 and now they want another £75 to come and fix it. This is on a contract with no excess. I am going to pay £144 to cancel the contract and get a local plumber to fix the problem and I will be reinstating my contract with British Gas. It is the most expensive mistake I have ever made in my life. Buyer beware do not touch them with a barge pole. I would not be confident keeping the contract running, I would never have them touch my boiler ( I have now read the boiler reviews) and so even though it doesn't save any money, I want to forget I ever heard of 247 home rescue.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY... YOU ARE WARNED! EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE… Unethical bunch of thugs 1) The sales person lied to me saying unlike their competition 247home rescue will never increase monthly direct debit amount regardless of number of claims made in the next 24 months. However, within 6 month they raised my monthly direct debit by 37.5% . 2) That is 3 months after declaring my fully functional boiler as BEYOND ECONOMICAL REPAIR and that they will not repair or support it! 3) I was told I could challenge this decision, get the boiler repaired by local GAS SAFE engineer and claim the costs. The boiler worked after the repairs but my claim was not responded to over 6 months. When i chased multiple times I was given some unacceptable reason why they declined that claim. I gave up, as its really 4) They kept taking the increased monthly direct debit even though they had no intention to repair or support my boiler. 5) Their cancellation staff is very unhelpful and rude. 6) Told me I cannot give them even 14 days’ notice to cancel the policy and that I have to call only after the policy has been active for at least 12 months. I said the policy is 11.5 months old and that I want you to cancel on the 366th day which is about 15 days from the day I called. He declined to take such cancellation request. 7) When I told them that you sold this policy stating there wont be any prices hikes for next 24 months but you have raised prices in the first 6 months, they bluntly told me that is in their terms and conditions and there is nothing I could do. I highlighted that the only reason I purchased their policy was the promise of no hikes for 24 months, the guys still insisted that the T&C’s allow raising prices. What a bunch of thugs and liars. Completely unethical company 8) I had an electrical issue, where the RCD was tripping every few minutes. Their electrician came and said there will have to be thorough test required. But nothing happened after that …! I had to get a local electrician who found a loose connection in few minutes and fixed the fault in no time. I have paid money and got barely anything in return. Rather I have spent more time and effort to get anything done from them than they have spent on my issues. Hopeless company.

Absolutely spot on. The booking process was quick and efficient, the service personnel were amicable and knew exactly what I needed. They assisted me where needed and exactly what they said would happen - Happened. The engineer arrive at exactly the time stated, he was friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. completed his work, quickly and efficiently, and left everything exactly as he found it. Then, to top it all off, the excellent price plan. A truly 5 Star service. Thank You

From the start with customer services st 247 to the end with the gas engineer Mr a khan the service provided was amazing a job well done ,very happy customer with 247 and the engineer and his company step by step communication and they assured me that I had nothing to worry about and that I was in safe hands With in 4 hours or less of having reported the boiler fault the boiler was repaired And then the follow up phone calls after the job was finished by 247 and the gas engineer company to make sure that I am happy with the job , well what can I say except that it was A* service A big thankyou to 247 and the engineer Mr A khan I would recommend 247 to anyone looking for cover for there home they will not let you down And they know which engineers to send, The engineer arrive at exactly the time stated, he was friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. completed his work, quickly and efficiently, and left everything exactly as he found it. He made sure that the place he was working at was left clean Then, to top it all off, the excellent price plan. A truly 5 Star service. Thank You
