Melt in your mouth scallops to die for, I've never had better. Amazing beet salad, beautiful opera cake with perfect texture sweetness. Perfect portions and timing, bartender made my favorite custom drink (Envy), and tables are spread for optimal privacy and view. Waitstaff was courteous and NOT snobby in the least. I will come here again, one of the best fine dining establishments I've been to in the bay area!

upscale restaurant with good food to match. Decor is simple and service was hit or miss. Our service started off slow but towards the end our waitress was attentive. Of course we left in a food coma.

Contemporary American-French cuisine. Go for the chef's tasting menus for a long relaxing meal. They're great (vegetarian-friendly, even!) and be sure to pair with wine (they have a fabulous selection and a good sommelier). Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely a favorite "special occasion" place.

Highly recommend this place. Excellent service and food. Love the complimentary confections from the confection cart at the end of the meal. This place is also vegetarian friendly and great for a dinner date. One of my favorite restaurants.

Had lunch there. I was 1 of only 2 tables. Price was high for lunch, but not unreasonable for a "nice" place. Food was tasty, but almost nonexistent. $12 for a tablespoon of scallops. Interior was way to dark/black for lunch service. Don't go there for lunch.

excellent food, attentive service, and a spacious and comfortable dining room make this somewhat plain downtown san mateo restaurant a delightful choice for a memorable meal. the menu offers an attractive choice of selections for each course (including wine), and the kitchen will make changes to meet special needs. the seafood is especially well-prepared.

Dining with a party of 10 presents the kitchen with a significant challenge, one which was not handled well on this occasion. While the appetizers were good, the entrees left something to be desired. One of our party ordered the ribeye cooked medium and was delivered a very tough well dish that consisted of 2 pieces of meat. This is an establishment that has fallen from grace.
