Ah, the burpee. Everyone’s exercise they love to hate. Now, I personally love this full body exercise and do not think that it is an inherently a bad exercise, it’s just sometimes people do not do them correctly and that can lead to lower back and knee pain. So, in this video I will offer and demonstrate different tips and alternatives to this popular exercise. As we always say, listen to your body. If you continue to feel discomfort while performing this exercise with the modifications, do not continue. Please ask in the comments, or next time you’re in class, if you have any questions. Cardio is not one of my favorites, but you can make it fun, quick and effective. These are some of my go to exercises when I don’t have a lot of time. Enjoy!
🦀 Crab Kicks
10-15 each side
🥊 Rapid Fire Punches w/ Sprawl
30 seconds
⛸ Skater Jumps
10-15 each side
🏃‍♀️Sprint
30 seconds as fast as your legs can take you!
🔥 Decrease the impact by not letting your feet leave the floor or perform a squat instead of a sprawl. You can also do a fast paced walk instead of a sprint. Push yourself, but always listen to your body. 💪🙌 Be sure to warm up and cool down! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
