Crash! Flutter! Plop! Wrenched from her mother’s loving grasp after an owl attack, the baby fruit bat Stellaluna finds herself tumbling through the air—and into a strange new world. After landing in a nest of baby birds, Stellaluna is adopted into the bird family on one condition: that she lives her life as a bird, not a bat. Charmingly told by actors, puppeteers, singers, a pianist, and a sign language interpreter, Stellaluna, based on the popular children’s book by Janell Cannon, teaches us all that our differences are beautiful and our possibilities endless when we embrace what makes others unique.

"With every job when it's complete,
there is a sense of bitter-sweet,
that moment when you know the task is done."

All performances of MARY POPPINS will continue as scheduled, as well as the MARY POPPINS class today and tomorrow for grades K-3 at QCT.

We thank our incredibly dedicated actors, orchestra, crew members, production team, and volunteers for continuing to rehearse--even when we were running on generators. Most of all, we owe our thanks to the men and women of Ameren Illinois for working so diligently to restore the city's power and for turning our lights back on so quickly! Without you, MARY POPPINS wouldn't be possible.
