It’s bittersweet saying good-bye to 110 CHURCH. We’ve worked with incredibly generous artists and discovered a warm and giving community. We’ve encouraged artists to take risks and offered solo shows that have advanced careers. We’re proud of what we have been able to accomplish over these five years, it’s been an amazing adventure. We'll continue shows at HBHQ, and in the new unnamed 1241 Carpenter gallery. We hope you will join us there.
Hauntingly beautiful and luminous, an installation for the dark days of winter.

The meaning of the title includes both uses of the word haunt: As a noun it refers to the physical/psychic place that I inhabit while working on a particular project.

When used as a transitive verb, it is meant to signify the thing that haunts me. In this case not a ghost, but a very specific ten year old boy who has endured difficult times.   My daughter’s half-brother came to live with us during the time that this new work was being made. Learning how to accommodate one another also means dealing with the effects of trauma and abuse. It can be like experiencing unpredicted, violent weather.  The production of this installation has been both my response and my refuge.

My New Haunt is our last exhibition at 110 CHURCH in Old City. It's bittersweet saying goodbye to the gallery. We've worked with incredibly generous artists and discovered a warm and giving community. We've encouraged artists to take risks and offered solo shows that have advanced careers. We're proud of what we have been able to accomplish over these five years, it's been an amazing adventure.

The future is bright. We'll continue shows @HBHQ, and in the new 1241 Carpenter Street gallery. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

I recently showed my work at Church Gallery. This wonderful experience of a first solo show far surpassed my expectations. The gallery are so supportive and fully engaged in the entire process, (from studio visit to de-installation). I am so excited to see future shows here. Oh, and I sold a bunch of work too.

Always an interesting show and good conversation. Also, a good place to meet other artists.
