Yesterday, Sunday, we ran the third of our foundation sea kayaking skills events in the Lake District. The coastal forecast was pretty lively (gusting to 40mph) so we moved inland for some less breezy conditions, gusting to 20 mph, on Coniston Water. All participants were confident and competent, learning eagerly and postively despite the bluster.
Our next foundation sea kayaking skills workshop will be posted in the next few days. See http://www.keyadventures.co.uk/events.htm for details of our latest events.

We've had a fabulous weekend of adventures with amazing sunny weather as a bonus.

On Saturday we hosted a family outdoor activity adventure day with the Chandler family in Borrowdale in the Lake District including abseiling, rock climbing, a coolbox picnic on the beach sitting in the sun by Derwentwater, finishing the day with ghyll scrambling; great fun and great company. I suspect there'll be a couple of top climbers in the Chandler family. #familyadventures #lakedistrict

On Sunday we ran a sea kayak coaching workshop off Roa Island, near Barrow in Cumbria in breezy but sunny f3 conditions. This is the second in a series of coached sea kayaking workshops. Our participants developed forward paddling, turning and close manoeuvring skills, along with knowledge of how sea state and wind conditions affect the way their boat performs and how to paddle in those conditions. #seakayakcoaching

Now we have a perfect drying day for kit.
